Focusing on fun but wearable looks with entirely Gluten Free Cosmetics.
This week’s look is courtesy of both my ‘Lil Sisters!
Sister #1 has been playing with this look for a while and Sister #2 loooooooooooooooooves purple. So this is the result. 😉
The technique of leaving the center of your lid a light shade helps keep this look from being overwhelming. It’s a smokey eye look, but not an “I didn’t sleep at all last night” look.
Prep your face with your favorite foundation- preferably a cream foundation.
- Sweep Red Apple Lipstick’s Black Magic in a C shape around the outer part of your eye, leaving the very center and the inner corner free of shadow.
- With Red Apple Lipstick’s Violet Vixen, go over the Black Magic to tint the black a deep purple. If you like, you can then dab a little more black magic in the outer corners of your eyes. Blend lightly.
- Using Red Apple Lipstick’s Porcelain (or any other matte cream/skin color), go from the inner corner of your eye to up under your brow in a sweeping shape. You can correct any uneven blending at the top in this step. Then in the very center of your eye, dab RAL’s Buttercream, a shimmery nude shade. This helps to brighten your eyes and keep the dark shadows from weighing them down.
- Line the outer third top and bottom of your eyes with Violet Vixen again, this time with a wet brush. Then with a black eyeliner (Bellus’ Potted Eye Liner is excellent for this with it’s precision and smudgeability) line thinly just at your lashline over the same outer third. Smudge gently with the liner brush.
Finish off with mascara, filling in your brows (if like me and my sis you forgot ’til the last moment), a natural blush (no bright colors!) and Bellus Natural Lipstick in Dragon Fruit (gentle color, lovely sheen and super moisturizing).
And you’re done!
