This is Part 2 of a 2 part series. Check out Part 1- Contemporary, Gorgeous, Mineral Based Gluten Free Makeup
Thus far I’ve been really enjoying Mirabella’s products. The quality is very good, the colors are wonderful, the packaging is gorgeous, it pretty much is the perfect “indie gluten free makeup company”.
But would this positive experience last through the rest of the products?
In the last post I reviewed:
- Eye Colour– Bitter Honey, Pretty Edgy, Aquamarine
- Eye Colour Matte– Melancholy
- Pick 4 Colour Palette
- Magic Marker Eyeliner
In this post I will review:
Smooth, creamy and blendable, this eye liner easily fits into any makeup kit. The twig color is rich and complex, with the barest hint of light reflection. It’s beautiful. Simply beautiful.
The liner blends extremely well, almost like a cream shadow. However it’s not super slippery, so it doesn’t smudge wildly on it’s own.
The other cool thing about Mirabella’s eye definers are all the colors they have. Bronze, navy, forest green, deep purple and of course your classic black and brown. If the Twig (brown) is any indication, I imagine all the color are as pretty in real life as they are on the site!
‘Kay, I was totally not expecting this… But… I am SO in love with this gluten free lip gloss. I’m not a pink and sparkles gal- but this! It’s beautiful to look at, luscious feeling on my lips and has the most luxurious scent. Mmmmmmmm… Vanilla! I’m head over heels in love.
The only little quirk it has is that the shimmery bits try to settle in the creases of my lips. It’s not super noticeable though. A quick rub of my lips as the gloss dries to a shiny, non-tacky surface, and it disperses again. Hardly something to put a damper on my love for it.
Mirabella has a huge selection of lip products, everything from gluten free lipstick and gluten free lip gloss to gluten free lip pencils and sheer lipsticks. I’ve seen companies who do specialize in lip products with a smaller selection of products than Mirabella. And all their colors are just lovely. There’s something for any gal’s style.
Lash Essential Mascara
I’ve seldom run across a mascara as buildable as this one. It has a rubbery texture I’m not used to that is tacky for a little while after application. But when it finally dries it is super smooth to look at, no clumps or harshness. I think it’s partly because of this that it layers and layers and layers with ease.
Mostly, this gluten free mascara adds length. However it isn’t too shabby at volume either.
It’s a little messy though, because of the slow drying time and rubbery texture. I’ll get better at applying it, I’m sure, but for now I have to clean up after applying mascara every single time. I’m bad at applying mascara anyway (lol), but this is still even more difficult to use than I can recall dealing with before.
All in all, I loved Mirabella.
The quality, selection and colors make this company a fantastic addition to anyone’s makeup kit. They are a breath of fresh, modern and contemporary air in the landscape of gluten free makeup. Oh and don’t forget the gluten free lip gloss. Don’t miss out on that sweet vanilla lip gloss.
