The Ultimate Guide to the Best Gluten-Free Makeup

Anti-Acne Set blasts Breakouts and Keeps them at Bay – Gluten Free Beauty

As many of you already know, I am a HUGE fan of Gluten Free Beauty’s Balancing Facial Serum. It really works to smooth away redness, clean up breakouts and even my skin tone. Overnight difference when I use this product. LOVE it!

So a few months back, the lovely Kristen of Gluten Free Beauty asked if I would be interested in reviewing her Anti-Acne Set, which includes the Balancing Facial Serum. Of course I said YES HOW SOON CAN YOU GET IT TO ME!? Then stuff happened, my life changed, I lost my best little buddy, yada yada downer stuff and the set sat in my bathroom for several months, waiting for me to review it.

But it didn’t sit idle. Oh no.

We’ve been using it consistently ever since I got the set. And when I say “we” I mean me and the 3 other ladies living in the same household as  me. And when I say “using it consistently” I mean we use it daily.

Because we love it that much.

Balancing Face/Body Wash

I love the clean feeling this wash leaves. I do use it ALL over because I find that it helps calm and prevent breakouts no matter where they are. 😉 It smells clean, natural and fresh and feels super silky on my skin. Almost like an oil, but with no oil after feel. It’s invigorating, refreshing and it makes my skin happy.

The wash is super concentrated. I never use as much as I think I’m going to need. It just spreads and spreads and spreads… Washing away dirt and dead skin, clearing out my pores until they tingle with rejuvenated feeling.

I have other body washes and facial cleanses in the shower (yeah, I bet you’re really surprised… 😛 ), but I find myself reaching for this one over and over and over again.

Balancing Facial Serum

After using this serum since early April, I can easily say that using it for 7 months does not diminish it’s power, healing and usefulness.

A quote from my first review:

In the past, serums for me personally have always been a bit… Much. My skin would feel super oily afterwards, and sometimes would stay that way for days. And then the results? Eh, never really good enough to be worth the discomfort of uber-oily skin. But Gluten Free Beauty’s Balancing Serum? Pure wow.

In that review I mentioned that I thought the serum might be responsible for the decrease in trouble spots I was experiencing. Well I can now tell for certain: If I go several days without the serum my skin tells me about it.

My face is happier, clearer and brighter when I use this serum consistently.

Kaolin Clay

This stuff is so cool.

From Mountain Rose Herbs:

Kaolin Clay is high in calcium, silica, zinc and magnesium, which are beneficial for oily, blemished skin. The clay’s mildly drying and disinfectant properties help heal existing blemishes and inflammations, while preventing new ones from forming.

Traditionally, clays are used to reduce swelling and inflammation, and to draw impurities from the skin.

For one of the ladies in the house, this is the product she uses the most and she LOVES it.

For me, I’m pretty sure patting it over breakouts helps them clear up faster than I anticipated. For her, there’s no doubt. In fact, she applies it nightly over her trouble areas. When a rare trouble spot comes up for me and I trudge to the cabinet to take care of it… I find myself staring at less clay than I remember leaving the last time I came around.

“You’re using all my clay!”

“But it really helps! The breakouts go away faster and don’t come back so easily if I use it!”

I’m about to draw the line and tell these gals, “NO MORE STEALIN’ MY STUFF!” It’s all going away too fast! The serum is nearly gone (gasp!), the body wash is running low (thankfully they have NOT discovered the loveliness that is my body wash or I wouldn’t have any left) and the clay is poofing away at an alarming rate.

To express how I feel about this:

This cannot be stood for. It’s my anti-acne set I tell ‘ya! MINE! I suggest you go get your own.

No seriously, go get your own Gluten Free Beauty Anti-Acne Set. Right here. And a word from the wise- don’t share it with your friends. They will use it all and you’ll get only a leetle beety tiny bit.
